Course Description

Join our intensive weekend class designed for young teenagers (ages 12-14) who are passionate about creating their own graphic novels. If you love drawing cartoons, writing stories, or are curious about diving into the world of graphic storytelling, this engaging and focused course is tailored just for you. Prepare for a weekend dedicated to honing your artistic skills and storytelling abilities!

In this immersive program, we will explore the art and craft of graphic novel creation, from foundational principles to advanced techniques. Students will delve deep into the intricacies of storytelling through visuals, learning how to develop compelling characters, construct captivating plots, and master the art of sequential storytelling.

Under the guidance of experienced instructors, participants will have the opportunity to apply their skills immediately, creating and illustrating their own original stories. This intensive experience not only enhances drawing proficiency but also fosters creativity and narrative development in a supportive and collaborative setting.

  • IMPORTANT: All students enrolled in Youth and Pre-College Courses must submit the following packet of Youth and Precollege Mandatory Forms prior to admittance into the classroom. Students will not be permitted to attend without this.
