Course Description

Ceramics student working at a pottery wheel

This hands-on six-session course is designed to build foundational skills in wheel-throwing. Through hands-on practice and guided instruction, students will learn the core techniques of throwing, trimming, and glazing to create functional ceramic pieces such as bowls, cups, and vases. Each week will build on the last, gradually introducing more complex forms and surface decoration methods. This course is ideal for beginners or those looking to sharpen their skills. By the end of the course, students will have completed multiple ceramic works and gained a solid understanding of the wheel-throwing process. All materials, including clay and glazes, are provided.
