From making characters blink to running and flying, students learn how to craft engaging and entertaining animations. This camp is perfect for aspiring animators who want to understand the craft of animation and create their own moving pictures. This camp is accompanied by our Mixed Media and Clay class, where students can bring their 2D characters to life by integrating them into 3D environments and sculptures, enhancing their overall storytelling experience.
Mixed Media and Clay: Ages 9-12 (Afternoon)
Unleash your creativity and design and sculpt amazing 3D creations using a variety of materials like clay, plaster, wire, and cardboard. Inspired by modern and contemporary artists, students develop artistic skills and build an understanding of 3D space. Through experimentation and collaboration, campers express their imagination in exciting new ways, creating unique sculptures and mixed media artworks. Pairing this with our 2D Animation camp allows students to create 3D versions of their animated characters and environments, bridging the gap between two-dimensional animation and three-dimensional art.
