Beyond the Brush: Experimental Painting Techniques: Ages 9-12 (Morning)
Explore new horizons in art and push the boundaries of traditional painting by experimenting with innovative techniques and materials. Discover how to use unconventional tools and methods to create textured, layered, and dynamic artworks. Campers develop your skills in abstract and experimental painting, learning how to express their creativity in exciting new ways. Pairing this with our Myths and Legends Around the World camp allows students to use their experimental painting techniques to visually interpret the myths and legends that will be explored in the afternoon, blending artistic innovation with storytelling.
Myths and Legends Around the World: Ages 9-12 (Afternoon)
Take a journey through storytelling and delve into the fascinating myths and legends from different cultures, exploring the stories and lore that shape art and history. Students learn about character archetypes, themes, and historical art while working with both 2D and 3D mixed media. Drawing inspiration from global cultures and their imagination, create a fully developed visual myth or legend to share with friends and family. Combining this with our Beyond the Brush camp, students can apply their experimental painting techniques to their mythological creations, bringing visual stories to life with innovative artistic methods.

- $40 Materials Kit: Students should purchase the relevant Materials Kit with enrollment of this course which provides students with course materials required for participation.
