Course Description

Let your imagination run wild in this playful art class for ages 5–8! Students will bring their own animals and monsters to life through a mix of drawing, painting, and 3D building techniques. From sketching fantastical creatures to sculpting them out of everyday materials, this course invites young artists to explore shape, texture, and storytelling while building creative confidence. Each week, students will experiment with new tools and ideas as they create a zoo of one-of-a-kind characters—both real and imagined!

  • IMPORTANT: All students enrolled in Youth and Pre-College Courses must submit the following Otis Extension Youth Pickup Authorization Form for Spring/Fall prior to admittance into the classroom. Students will not be permitted to attend without this.
  • $40 Materials Kit: A $40 materials fee is included in the course tuition. Course materials which will be received on the first day of class.
  • This course does not provide certificate credit.
