Course Description

Dive into the creative process of pitching a children’s show. From brainstorming an idea to pitching the final concept, this course guides students through the professional process of developing a pitch for an animated, live-action, or mixed-media kid-friendly series. Topics include creating loglines, establishing a target audience, character development, look development, and crafting a pitch deck. After completing the class, students have a show concept and a working pitch deck. Writers, designers, storytellers, and students starting their creative journeys are encouraged to enroll.

    • Synchronous: Taught through an online learning environment, allowing for the instructor and students to meet during scheduled times. Includes lectures, demos and discussions via Zoom.
