XCHL8053 - Tericuts and Kirigami: Window into the Sea (5-7 years)

Course Description

Students will create a dynamic window into the sea using Japanese Kirigami and Tericuts tearing and free-hand cutting techniques. The initial class will focus on basic tearing and scissor education methods. These methods will facilitate greater ease and confidence in fine motor skills. Students start by making an ocean, coral, sand, and seaweed. During the second class will introduce how to cut sea creatures and fish. On the last day, students create and design the “window”.
