XCHL8059 - Graphic Design: Ages 11-14

Course Description

Graphic design combines the world of art and technology to communicate and represent ideas visually. Through a combination of looking at real-world design challenges and building a foundation of basic techniques, students learn what graphic design is, what it does, why it's so important, and how to make their own graphic design solutions. They will produce products like photo collages, movie posters, advertisements and product mock-ups. They will learn skills such as photo retouching, teeth whitening, blemish removal, masking and compositing.

IMPORTANT: All students enrolled in Youth and Pre-College Courses must submit the following packet of Youth and Precollege Mandatory Forms prior to admittance into the classroom. Students will not be permitted to attend without this.
