Course Description

Drawing what’s around you in real life--people, animals, plants, objects--is a skill. Get better at it in this course, which focuses on techniques to help you draw what you see from direct observation. Through weekly live demos, critiques, discussion, and studio time, students will learn introductory perspective drawing, cross contour, black-and-white still life, highlighting, and shadow to improve their abilities with observation and illustration. In this 6-week course, students complete drawing exercises, culminating in two finished drawings. All levels are welcome.
