XGRD5021 - Digital Infographics 101

Course Description

Graphically tell a story with a beautiful visual design that conveys information quickly and clearly. Infographics are popularly used to represent a variety of information from resumes, subway maps, to medical research across social media, advertising, television, and educational tools. Through demonstrations, studio time, discussion, and critiques, students achieve the necessary skills to digitally design infographics for a variety of content using Adobe Illustrator.

Notes:

• Through weekly Zoom meetings, students will work under the guidance of instructor expertise to achieve their work in a virtual studio environment.

• This course assumes working knowledge Adobe Illustrator as it will not include instruction of basic software usage.

• This course does not provide certificate credit.
