XPFP1197 - Fashion Design Studio: Precollege

Course Description

Explore Fashion Design from the inner workings of conceptualization and the development process. From sketching techniques, to draping, patternmaking, and cutting & sewing of your designs, all techniques used by master designers, in creating your fashion vision. You will be developing a Mood Board to present your fashion design ideas through themes and categories; then move into technical skills to create your designs into garments. Using professional grade industrial sewing equipment in our state-of-the-art fashion studio, learn how to take your own hand rendered fashion design illustrations into finished apparel. This course may include a visit from an Otis College Admissions Counselor.

Note:

IMPORTANT: All K-12 and Pre-College students are required to complete and return K-12 and Precollege Mandatory Forms Packet prior to admittance into the classroom. Students will not be permitted to attend without this.
