Course Description

Create immersive visual environments using photography, along with 2D and 3D graphics, that can be shared online with ease and access. Virtual reality photography is a technique that presents a 360-degree presentation of digital content to simulate architectural spaces, imaginary environments, physical installations, and more. In this 10-week course, students will learn VR tools, techniques, and presentation methods; camera usage and lighting; image editing, retouching, and compositing; and integrating 2D elements into a 3D scene. Through lectures, demonstration, weekly meetings, and independent study time, students will achieve their own creative approaches to VR photographic processes that can be embedded onto personal websites and social media platforms.
