Working with clay is a tactile and creative process, bringing peace of mind and solace. This introductory course teaches fundamental hand-building. Under the expertise of Otis College of Art and Design Professor Joan Takayama-Ogawa, students develop their practice from home using clay kits with weekly Zoom meetings. Firing provided on campus. Students may advance their artwork by enrolling in Ceramics II.
Open lab hours will not be available for the spring semester due to COVID-19 campus safety measures. Firing provided with health and safety measures.
