Course Description

Red velvet, orange crush, glowing neon, classic blue. Start your design process from colors that  inspire personal happiness...or another chosen emotional state. Led by Amy Bond (Project Runway, Season 16), this 4-day workshop leads participants through gathering emotional and inspirational research towards a collection, including clothing, homegoods, and other tactile products. Students learn about the psychology behind color; concepts that drive color applications in consumer goods; historical and modern designer case studies; and how color influences mood. Through a process of concept development, researching, testing, and design execution, they apply these ideas and philosophies towards developing their own color palette that can be adapted to a broad spectrum of consumer products. No prior fashion design and/or sewing experience is required for this workshop....all levels are welcome!
