Working with clay is a tactile and creative process, bringing peace of mind and solace. This course expands upon hand-building ceramics methods and techniques in Ceramics I. With an emphasis on functional ceramics, students are exposed to additional glazing and handbuilding techniques. Under the expertise of Otis College of Art and Design Professor Joan Takayama-Ogawa, students develop their practice from home with weekly Zoom meetings. Firing provided on campus.
Open lab hours will not be available for the spring semester due to COVID-19 campus safety measures. Firing provided with health and safety measures.
