Course Description

Do you have a current or future ceramic project, or need help brainstorming to quickly create an idea that requires structure and deadlines to accomplish it? For the first time, Otis College of Art and Design Professor Joan Takayama-Ogawa, is teaching a 6-week summer ceramics course, where she too will be working on a project, “Everyone will make a plan. Then work the plan.” 

This course is designed for all levels, from beginners to advanced. 

Notes:
- Through weekly Zoom meetings, students will work under the guidance of instructor expertise to achieve their work in a virtual studio environment.
- Open lab hours will not be available for the summer semester due to COVID-19 campus safety measures. Low fire and medium temperature firing provided with health and safety measures.          
- Stay at Home Clay Kits and 50 lbs of clay included with enrollment.
- Materials/firing drop off and pick up will take place at the Otis campus.
