XGRD5042 - Color Theory Essentials

Course Description

Color is an ever-present aspect of everyday life, and a foundational element in art, design, and visual communications. Artists and designers alike communicate effectively through choice of hue, saturation, and value. Take this 6-week course to learn the essentials of color theory and design as it applies to physical and digital manifestations of color. Under the guidance of instructor expertise, students will work with acrylics to produce several projects that explore formal elements (including hue, saturation, and value); color in the environment; and more.

Notes:
- Through weekly Zoom meetings, students will work under the guidance of instructor expertise to achieve their work in a virtual studio environment.
- Prerequisite: None
- This course does not provide certificate credit.
