Course Description

With photorealism as the focus of inspiration, students use photography as a visual reference as they complete a highly rendered painting. They will incorporate techniques -- mixing photography with painting-- used in traditional photorealistic work including those of Kehinde Wiley and  1970’s American photorealist movement.  Over 6 weeks, each student will produce one Monochrome finished artwork. Class-time critiques help students develop their personal style and aesthetic. Students of all levels are encouraged to attend.
