Course Description

Explore the inner workings of the fashion concept and development process — from sketching techniques used by master designers to the technical skills needed to successfully execute your own ideas. Develop a Mood Board to present your ideas and fashion themes. Learn the components that drive the creation and execution of your very own designs. Using professional grade industrial sewing equipment in our state of the art fashion studio, learn how to take your own hand drawn and illustrated concepts into finished garments.

Notes: 

  • IMPORTANT: All SOA students are required to complete and return Summer of Art Mandatory Forms 2024 Packet prior to admittance into the classroom. Students will not be permitted to attend without this.
  • Housing is only available for students who enrolled in Summer of Art Programming for 5 days per week.
  • Tuition includes a non-refundable $200 deposit per course.
