Getting dirty is half the fun with ceramics. The tactile quality of clay lets you really dig into your creativity. Whether you want to try your hand at clay or expand upon your existing ceramic practice, this course has something for everyone. With an emphasis on functional ceramics, Extension and BFA students create a variety of functional and beautiful ceramics. Under the expertise of Otis College of Art and Design Professor Joan Takayama-Ogawa, students develop their practice from home using clay kits with weekly Zoom meetings. Firing provided on campus.
