Course Description

Activate your imagination with an exciting immersion into coding for interactive projects. Students learn a kid-friendly approach to creating software and hardware using the same easy-to-learn electronics platform used by scientists, artists, and consumer product designers. This hands-on workshop includes guided instruction in how to code, how to prototype simple circuits, and how to think about coding and circuitry in ways used to build toys, tools, and instruments. Learn how coding can delight the imagination, inspire creativity, and connect the learning processes of art, science, music, and the literary. Imagine, design, code, and build. No previous experience with coding or electronics necessary. Lab fee includes the cost of an electronics project kit that the student can take home between classes, and keep after the course ends.

Included in Course Price: $35 (materials provided by instructor)
