Course Description

Being a powerful emotional experience, color is a universal visual language that harnesses the power of storytelling for any medium. In this class, students will learn to develop their own narratives in the form of color scripts while exploring color’s role in cultural memory, historical values, and the psychology of personal experience. Through lecture, demonstration, critique, and practical experience, students will be able to use the art of color to set forth their own artistic visions across a range of disciplines and media. 

Prerequisite:  XGRD1101 Color Theory and Design

 

Prerequisites

Specific coursework required for Certificate Students. All other students should have equivalent experience.
