XFRN7078 - Advanced Furniture Design Lab

Course Description

Build upon your existing skills to construct beautiful and functional furniture. Advanced students explore furniture construction using multiple materials, from wood to metal to fabrics. Issues professionals face in the real world—production requirements, trade requirements, and consumer requirements—are also covered.

Prerequisite: The ability to draw with analog or digital tools to communicate to shop personnel. Students are required to have completed Shop Training to be able to utilize shop machinery safely.

Included in Course Price: $35 for courses held in a college lab

Optional Open Lab: $150 payable at checkout. An average of six hours per week, with a maximum of 60 hours total for the 10-week term. Lab hours will be posted, and schedules will be determined between the lab manager and the student. Students can only purchase these additional hours for courses they are currently registered for.
