Course Description

Since ancient times, fruit has attracted artists’ attention with their richness of color and intricate shapes.  The subject of fruit has been used in classical art schools to teach beginners the basics.This course is an introduction to pencil drawing and watercolor painting techniques with fruit and still life as a genre of study. Topics include depicting 3D shapes using six elements of tonal values and variations of color temperature. In a fun and easy-going environment, students will create beautiful still-life paintings, while learning the exciting medium of watercolor, basic rules of composition, color theory and perspective.
