Course Description

Restaurant table next to large arched window with large blue border

Imagine an ideal interior space and learn how to design it. In this course, students work with architectural floor plans, provided by the instructor, to create their own space plans, color palettes, and interior themes for an imagined celebrity owned restaurant. Students learn how to select, document selections and show furniture, choose interior detail materials, and surface finishes. Students create a presentation color board for client review – visualizing the final space. Instruction covers one- and two-point perspective, and treatment with actual materials such as fabrics, tile, wood, brick, and granite.
