Course Description

Want to progress from doodling to drawing? Students in this course draw to develop observational, perceptual, and pictorial skills as well as their own sense of style. The course covers drawing techniques and design principles, establishing a foundation for all things visual. Guidance is available to students preparing portfolios for application to art colleges or programs. Assignments are geared towards portfolio requirements. A guest lecture by an Otis Admissions Counselor is also included.

- Through weekly Zoom meetings, students will work under the guidance of instructor expertise to achieve their work in a virtual studio environment. In addition, students take part in select course activities at their own time; course content will be posted on a weekly basis based on the scheduled meeting date.

- IMPORTANT:  All K-12 and Pre-College students are required to complete and return a K-12 and Precollege Mandatory Forms Packet prior to admittance into the classroom. Students will not be permitted to attend without this.
