Course Description

If you’ve started learning animation and you want to continue expanding and developing your animation skills, this fun and fast-paced class is for you. Working on intermediate to advanced projects, we will dive more deeply into the 12 principles of animation and use them to create engaging 2D animated videos. Students fine-tune both traditional and modern computer animation techniques on a broad range of projects with a focus on character animation. Topics include walk cycles, lip sync, acting and character design for animation, and more. Students view and analyze a variety of animated films and videos to aid in studying technique while developing their own animation projects. This exciting and challenging course engages students to express their creativity and develop the artistic skills to create eye-catching works of 2D animation. This course may include a visit from an Otis College Admissions Counselor.

Note:

- IMPORTANT: All K-12 and Pre-College students are required to complete and return a K-12 and Precollege Mandatory Forms Packet prior to admittance into the classroom. Students will not be permitted to attend without this.
