Graphic design is everywhere around you—on subway posters, buses, websites, T-shirts, candy wrappers. It is a medium in which words and images merge to communicate powerful messages. In the first half of this course, students work in a traditional hands-on studio to learn creative problem-solving techniques and the basics of form and expressive typography. The second half of the class focuses on bringing projects into the digital realm using the Adobe Creative Suite.
• On the first day of class, ALL students must check in with Extension staff in the lobby of the Ahmanson Building before attending class.
• All K-12 and Pre-College students are required to submit a completed K12 Mandatory Forms Packet prior to admittance into the classroom. Students will not be permitted to attend without this.
