Course Description

What does it take to make it as a fashion photographer? Working well with models and professionals, coordinating photoshoots, knowing what's current in the field, and much more. This course discusses business practices, technical expertise, and the qualities of great fashion photography —editorial and commercial. Instruction includes a shoot with models. Students must provide their own camera equipment (traditional or digital), shoot their own film, and produce their own prints, which are brought to class for critique and discussion. Students create a mini portfolio of their work in print form for review at the last class.
