Course Description

Lions, tigers, and bears—draw the whole zoo if you want! Sketching a different animal each week, students in this course develop drawing skills while focusing on proper proportion, shading, and detail to draw it realistically. Students are also introduced to nature as they illustrate plants and flowers in the foreground and background of their pictures. A variety of techniques and drawing tools like graphite, charcoal, and colored pencils are used to enhance each animal’s unique characteristics. Step-by-step handouts are provided to help with proportions. Students even learn to illustrate how animals use colors found in nature for camouflage!

Included in Course Price: $40 (materials provided by instructor)
