Course Description

Ever wonder how books are made? Learn the art of storytelling, paper folding, and constructing handmade artist books. Course includes experimenting with various techniques, including collage, stenciling, and relief printmaking; plus the art of paper engineering from simple folded book structures to producing your very own pop-up book. From developing your storytelling ability, to creating your own stories and images, to learning book making skills, you will construct your very own collection of artist books to share with your family and friends!

Start collecting newspapers, magazines, photographs, and materials for collage to make this an enriching experience for your child!

Note:

  • Materials Fee: A $40 course materials fee is applied on all courses.

  • Optional Extended Care: Summer Camps offer Before & After Care for an additional fee of $50 per time slot. Before Care is available from 7:30-9:00 a.m. and After Care is available from 4:15-6:00 p.m. Please select the appropriate box at checkout.

  • Lunch Supervision Fee: A $75 lunch supervision fee is required for students attending both morning and afternoon sessions.

IMPORTANT:

  • All K-12 and Pre-College students are required to complete and return a K-12 and Precollege Mandatory Forms Packet prior to admittance into the classroom. Students will not be permitted to attend without this.
