Course Description

Explore low tech & DIY photography techniques such as Pinhole Photography, Cameraless Photography, Cyanotype, Lensless Cameras, and Xerography. Projects include building a low tech camera, printing photos with the sun, printing on clothing or fabric, making analog prints from digital images, making cameraless pictures with found objects, and making a photo zine. In this course, students draw inspiration from early photography, science, contemporary art, as well as Indie and Punk art practices. No camera or photography experience necessary. Creativity and resourcefulness is a must!

Note:

  • Materials Fee: A $40 course materials fee is applied on all courses.

  • Optional Extended Care: Summer Camps offer Before & After Care for an additional fee of $50 per time slot. Before Care is available from 7:30-9:00 a.m. and After Care is available from 4:15-6:00 p.m. Please select the appropriate box at checkout.

  • Lunch Supervision Fee: A $75 lunch supervision fee is required for students attending both morning and afternoon sessions.

IMPORTANT:

  • All K-12 and Pre-College students are required to complete and return a K-12 and Precollege Mandatory Forms Packet prior to admittance into the classroom. Students will not be permitted to attend without this.
