XCAM1036 - Japanese Kirigami: Ages 5-8

Course Description

Get ready to learn basic, traditional Japanese Kirigami folds to create Kirigami cuts and shapes for amazing freehand cut-paper artwork. You will make a huge three-dimensional cut-paper carp, and a four-season panel, incorporate actual Japanese kanji (characters) and learn some Japanese words and phrases! This unusual cut-paper experience is designed to increase fine motor and concentration skills, and comprehension for all young artists.

Note:

• Materials Fee: A $40 course materials fee is applied on all courses.

• Optional Extended Care: Summer Camps offer Before & After Care for an additional fee of $50 per time slot. Before Care is available from 7:30-9:00 a.m. and After Care is available from 4:15-6:00 p.m. Please select the appropriate box at checkout.

• Lunch Supervision Fee: A $75 lunch supervision fee is required for students attending both morning and afternoon sessions.

IMPORTANT:

• All K-12 and Pre-College students are required to complete and return a K-12 and Precollege Mandatory Forms Packet prior to admittance into the classroom. Students will not be permitted to attend without this.
