Course Description

Directly printing forms found in the natural world has been used for centuries by scientists, naturalists and artists to preserve the ephemeral beauty of nature. This workshop explores a process to create prints on paper with fresh and pressed plant materials provided by the instructor, collected during walks around the local area or brought by students from home. The resulting prints will be used to create a handmade book filled with rich visual content.

Prerequisite: 
Some knowledge of basic bookbinding is helpful, but not mandatory. 

Course Fee: A $40 course fee is built into the tuition of this course which includes materials plus lab fees.
