Course Description

Advance digital art skills fundamental to a building and animating a broad range of subject matter, from a single piece of fruit to a complex 3D environment. This class furthers skills in 3D modeling, texturing, and lighting applicable to a range of professional applications including VR, film, set design, game design, environmental design, and motion graphics. Using Maya, Zbrush, and Substance Painter, students will render in 3-dimension to achieve compelling photorealistic objects. They will practice observational skills used in traditional life drawing and painting, translating to digital tools and techniques.

Prerequisite(s):
- 3D Modeling Game Design or Introduction to 3D Modeling 

- Students must know how to transfer high polygon detail to a low polygon mesh, as well as have a general understanding of a PBR workflow. 

- Game engine experience such as Marmoset toolbag, unreal, or unity is recommended but not required.
