XCHL7051 - Art Adventures: Drawing and Painting: Ages 11-14

Course Description

Learn the fundamental techniques and principles of art. Topics range from portraiture to scientific discoveries and students will create works based upon these concepts. Students will learn about fundamental drawing and painting techniques including observational skills, working with materials including pastels and charcoal, color application, and the technical process of painting. Students keep an ongoing sketchbook for free drawing and generating ideas during class time.

- IMPORTANT: All students enrolled in Youth and Pre-College Courses must submit the following packet of Youth and Precollege Mandatory Forms prior to admittance into the classroom. Students will not be permitted to attend without this.

- $35 Materials Kit: Students are required to purchase the relevant Materials Kit with enrollment of this course which provides students with course materials required for participation.
