Course Description

Explore essential art techniques like observational drawing and color application while working with materials such as charcoal and pastels. We’ll dive into inspiring topics like portraiture and famous art movements, guiding you to create unique artwork that reflects your creativity. You'll also keep a sketchbook for doodles, sketches, and ideas, helping you grow and experiment throughout the class. By the end, you’ll have a collection of artwork and a sketchbook filled with inspiration for future projects!

IMPORTANT: All students enrolled in Youth and Pre-College Courses must submit the following packet of Otis Extension Youth Pickup Authorization Forms for Spring/Fall prior to admittance into the classroom. Students will not be permitted to attend without this.
$45 Materials Kit: Students are required to purchase the relevant Materials Kit with enrollment of this course which provides students with course materials required for participation.
