Course Description

In this 4 week workshop, students are introduced to the basics of letterpress printing. Concepts and skills will include hand-set typing and letterpress printing technique. They will use a Vandercook flatbed printing press to create a well-printed one sheet or booklet. The Otis Laboratory Press is a fully functioning letterpress studio with four Vandercook proof presses and over 200 typefaces.

Note:

  • This course does not provide certificate credit.

Course Fee: 

  • A $25 materials fee is built into the tuition of this course.
