Course Description

Stop motion animation set with one anthropomorphic bloodhound dog and one anthropomorphic character of ambiguous species

Step into the magical world of animation in this popular camp where young creators bring their own stories and characters to life using a mix of drawing, sculpting, and stop-motion techniques. Campers learn how to build mini sets, design characters, and animate them to create short films. This camp is all about exploring the art of storytelling in a whole new dimension, combining creativity with hands-on fun. By the end of the week, students create a one-of-a-kind animated project to share with friends and family!

IMPORTANT:

  • $40 Materials Kit: A $40 materials fee is included in the camp tuition.
  • All students enrolled in Summer Youth Camps must submit the following packet of Summer Youth Camp Child Pickup Authorization prior to admittance into the classroom. Students will not be permitted to attend without this.

  • Campers who wish to experience a full day of camp during Week 2 can attend both Animating Worlds in 4D (Morning) and Cosmic Creations: Nature and Space (Afternoon), please enroll here. Full-day camps include lunch supervision and outside activities between 12:15pm and 12:45pm daily.
    • There are three additional weeks where Animating Worlds in 4D is being offered:
      • During Week 5: Section 1 with Animating Worlds in 4D (Morning) and Creating New and Unusual Creatures and Animals (Afternoon), please enroll here.
