Course Description
Painting from the Imagination: Ages 5-8 (Morning)
Let your imagination soar and explore the fun of self-expression through painting, creating vibrant 2D artworks! Students start with sketching and drawing, then work to bring concepts to life on paper and canvas as they learn about the basics of color, line, shape, and space. This camp is all about nurturing your creativity and sense of wonder, encouraging campers to discover and develop your own unique artistic voice. By the end of the week, they will have a collection of imaginative paintings that showcase your creativity and personal style!
Cartooning for Kids: Ages 5-8 (Afternoon)
Everyone has a story to tell, and in Cartooning for Kids, you’ll learn how to turn your stories into fun cartoons! Starting by creating cartoon characters and then diving into the world of storytelling students explore different ways to draw characters, environments, and learn how to come up with exciting plots and funny jokes. By the end of the camp, students have all the skills you need to become a budding cartoonist, with unique cartoons ready to share with friends and family!
IMPORTANT:
- $40 Materials Kit: A $40 materials fee is included in the camp tuition.
- All students enrolled in Summer Youth Camps must submit the following packet of Summer Youth Camp Child Pickup Authorization prior to admittance into the classroom. Students will not be permitted to attend without this.
Note(s):
- Campers who wish to experience a full day of camp can attend both Painting from the Imagination (Morning) and Cartooning for Kids (Afternoon), please enroll on this page. Full-day camps include lunch supervision and outside activities between 12:15pm and 12:45pm daily.
