Course Description

This course introduces students to the use of screen printing to produce fine art prints through hands on experience and activities. In this course, we will enhance our drawing and painting skills, improve our knowledge of color and conceptual abilities, and develop a body of work from a central theme. Students will use hand-painted stencil making methods with the intention of developing a personal style. This class is designed for the beginner student who is interested in learning about printmaking techniques through exploration, as well as building confidence in sharing ideas. At the end of each session, students will have completed at least 3 editions, or sets of original images.
