Course Description

SketchUp is a 3D modeling program that allows users to model almost any object that they wish. SketchUp provides users with the ability to create virtual 3D models that can be enriched with textures and finishings and successively rendered to augmented reality models. Students will learn the depths of this industry standard program with exposure to a range of plugins;   accessing objects from the “3D warehouse” (a repository of models created and uploaded by their makers); and downloading these items in a design space. Through lectures, demonstrations, exercises, and projects, students will achieve the essential technical skills needed to create virtual models for a 3D space.

- Taught through an online learning environment, this course does not include live meetings. Students take part in course activities at their own pace; course content will be posted on a weekly basis based on the scheduled meeting date.
