Course Description

The ability to produce vector graphics is a “must-have” skill for any modern artist or designer. Adobe Illustrator is the world’s leading vector graphics application used for producing professional-quality logos, package design, signage, and so much more. This hands-on course introduces students to the basics of working with Illustrator to create compelling designs.

Prerequisites

Specific coursework required for Certificate Students. All other students should have equivalent experience.

Note: Digital Design Tools: Print or Digital Design Tools: Graphics may be substituted to satisfy the prerequisite.

  • Students must be 18+ years of age to enroll
  • This course includes 30 hours of class time plus at least 15 hours of homework time.

  • Course teaching method:  Synchronous
    • Synchronous: Taught through an online learning environment, allowing for the instructor and students to meet during scheduled times. Includes lectures, demos and discussions via Zoom.
