Course Description

What’s the difference between pleating and ruching? Which fabrics are suitable for draping? In this course, students learn the basic principles of draping on the dress form, including style lines, fit, and balance. Studio instruction includes preparing muslin, marking, and truing finished bodices and skirts.  

Prerequisites

Specific coursework required for Certificate Students. All other students should have equivalent experience.
