From French classical design to modern minimalism, great interior design starts with the basics. This course is an introduction to the field of interior design through designing a condominium high rise in Hawaii. Students learn the principles to create aesthetically pleasing and functional interiors for residential or commercial spaces. Students select all finishes and materials for their unique interior design and learn how to create a professional color board. Topics include design theory, principles of design, design vocabulary, design psychology, methods of programming, history of Interior design, and an overview of the interior design profession.
